Students in Mrs. Velleux’s class kicked off a new unit in math by playing a math game called Race to the Cookie Jar.🍪 Students practiced adding and subtracting 10s from 3-digit numbers in hopes of reaching the cookie jar before their partner!

We are excited to share that Mrs. Nicole Rangel has won the WCASS Region 2 Paraprofessional of the Year Award for the 2023-2024 school year. Nicole has compassion and a genuine desire to see her students thrive, and goes above and beyond in meeting their diverse needs. It was a great start to the week here at Salem School as we welcomed 40+ local Realtors to second annual Realtor Breakfast event today! As our guests enjoyed a complimentary Panera breakfast, they listened to a special presentation by County Executive Samantha Kerkman and part of our Salem Administration Team highlighting our school district and our connection with the community! They were also treated to a special behind the scenes tour of the new construction on our south end of the building! A special thank you to Samantha Kerkman for attending today! Where: The Salvation Army Wonderland Camp and Conference Center, Sponsored By Salem School, When: Monday, April 22nd | 9am-2pm April is National Volunteer Month! The Red Cross depends on the generosity of volunteers to ensure blood products are available when patients need them. Our blood drives and donation centers also depend on our incredible volunteers (you!) every single day. It takes a lot of generous people to ensure blood is on hospital shelves when patients need it. First time donors don’t need to know your blood type to give. You will find out what your blood type is 2-3 weeks after your blood donation. All who come to give April 8-28 will receive a $10 e-gift card to a merchant of choice. Students at Salem School that have a parent attend and help save lives will receive a “I can help save lives” kick ball from the Red Cross to show they made a difference to someone in need.
