Welcome to middle school!  There are a lot of changes your child will be experiencing this year in 6th grade. You, as your child’s first teacher, hold the most power in the ability to influence and motivate.  We feel that open lines of communication between the parents, students, and teachers are the key to promoting an educational climate that is conducive to learning.  We are looking forward to helping 6th grade students transition into the middle school setting.  We want all of our students to strive to be visible and valuable in and out of the classroom.  We are all responsible for making Salem a great place to learn, and we look forward to working with you and your child this year.
