The Salem School Libraries are committed to helping students in the following areas:

• Expose students to a wide range of media (books, websites, videos, magazines, databases) and genres from a wide variety of cultures, perspectives, and styles.

• Help students become effective in the use of computer and reference skills.

• Teach students ways of analyzing the validity, usability, and usefulness of information.

• Provide opportunities for students to collaborate and be part of research teams and problem-solving activities.

• Promote ethical uses of online material.
