Mr. Walker’s 5th graders have been learning about mixed sixteenth and eighth note pairs, known as tika-ti and ti-tika! To practice, students got creative by using soda pop names to build custom rhythms. With hand drums in hand, they teamed up with partners to bring their soda-inspired beats to life! 🥤🥁✨ #Music #CreativeRhythms #FalconMusicians #SalemSchoolFalcons

Senorita Antaramian's eighth grade Spanish students completed the work on their Ofrendas last week, just in time for Dia De Los Muertos! 🌺💀🌹 An ofrenda is an altar, built to honor lost loved ones. Traditional ofrendas are full of symbols and meaning, which have a long history with the holiday and people. Take a look at the amazing Ofrendas and give our eighth graders a ❤ for all of their hard work and creativity! 🌺💀🌹 #salemschoolfalcons #diadelosmuertos #dayofthedead #ofrenda #creativity #teamwork #spanish #eighthgrade

🍁 November’s Character Strong Trait: Gratitude 🍁 This month, we are focusing on Gratitude—the practice of appreciating the good things in our lives and the people who make a difference. Gratitude helps us shift our perspective, build positive relationships, and spread kindness throughout our community. Let’s challenge ourselves to: ✨ Say thank you to someone who has impacted you. ✨ Write a note of appreciation to a friend, teacher, or family member. ✨ Notice the little things that bring joy each day. Together, let’s foster a culture of gratitude at Salem School by recognizing and celebrating the big and small moments that make a difference. #GratitudeInAction #SalemSchoolFalcons #CharacterStrong
