I was born and raised in Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie and am a proud graduate of Tremper High School. My time as a student-athlete at Tremper led to playing collegiate volleyball at both Northern Michigan University and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Following the completion of my B.A., I pursued an enriching graduate program at the University of Northern Colorado. Wisconsin called me back home, and it’s here that I’ve built a life with my loving husband and our two wonderful daughters, Savanna and Vivienne. When I’m not immersed in the world of speech pathology, you’ll find me cherishing family moments, playing volleyball or getting lost in a good book. With 13 years of diverse experience as an SLP—spanning Illinois and Wisconsin school districts, private clinics, in-home therapy, Early Intervention, and hospital settings—I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of speech. Observing my students’ progress and celebrating their achievements is what truly ignites my passion and dedication to making a positive impact in their academic and personal journeys. Over the past three years, I have gained valuable experience as a case manager at Washington Middle School in Kenosha, WI. Salem School is currently seeking a full-time Instrumental Music Teacher for grades 5-8. This teacher will also be responsible for teaching 2 sections of general music in the intermediate grades (.7 Instrumental Music/.3 General Music). The teacher's primary responsibility will be to oversee Salem's Band program and foster students' passion for music and performance. In addition to daily teacher lunch and prep time, extra time is reserved in the weekly schedule for sectionals/lessons. 🌟Please help us welcome Ann Jevitz to our Falcon Family! She will be joining our 6th grade team this year. "Hi! My name is Mrs. Jevitz! This will be my 11th year teaching and I am so excited to join the Salem School family. My husband T.J. and our 3 children, Alayna, who is 6, Colton, who is 4, and Jase, who is 2, moved to Wisconsin from Illinois 2 years ago. Before moving to Wisconsin, I taught in New Lenox, Illinois for 9 years where I spent my time teaching Math, Science and Social Studies. I spent my first year in Wisconsin at home with our boys, but missed the classroom so much that I taught 5th Grade last school year at St. Joe’s in Kenosha. Teaching 5th and 6th graders the subjects of Math and Science is my absolute favorite. I’ve heard wonderful things about Salem, so I could not pass up the opportunity to teach my favorite subjects, as a 6th grade teacher, at Salem for the 2024-2025 school year! I am very excited to see what this year has in store for all of us and cannot wait to see what the future looks like for myself and our kiddos as we begin our school experiences at Salem! In August of 2021 we shared the news of the passing of one of our long-term Salem family members, Deb Morgan. She was a central person in creating a warm, stable, and caring presence for our staff, students, and families as they came into our School Office for many years. She dedicated her time to many school activities and events such as the PTO, the concession stand, and volunteering for sporting events. This spring, our Salem PTO teamed up with Salem Art teacher Brittany Stalker to create a beautiful Memorial around our concession stand, which was one of Deb's passions here at Salem. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were able to place their handprints in the design, and the PTO will hang a plaque this fall, along with hosting a small dedication ceremony. Her dedication and commitment to our students, staff, and the community will live on here at Salem.❤️
