Student Senate members got to hear from Navy veteran Mr. Steve Tindall. He served in the Navy for 9 years and maintained and operated the various components which aimed and fired the onboard guns. Mr. Tindall is an ambassador for the Milwaukee Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. Over 10,000 veterans have flown out of Milwaukee thanks to donations. Student Senate ran a lollipop sale earlier this year and was able to donate $1,625 to this amazing organization!

6th graders are taking an interactive approach to learning about the Han Dynasty this week. Throughout, they’ll work through 7 stations learning about the warfare, government, science, agriculture, industry, art, and medicine of the dynasty.

🏫 Last week, Mrs. Christy Weinstock, Salem School Principal, teamed up with the principal from Bristol School, Tom Blair, to present at the WSSCA (Wisconsin School Safety Coordinators Association) Conference. Together, they shared insights on developing effective Emergency Operations Plans in small schools and districts. Their presentation highlighted strategies for building comprehensive safety plans, conducting meaningful safety drills, and providing staff training to ensure every student and staff member feels prepared and protected.
