Gunnar (going into 3rd grade) and Quinn (going into 5th) are racing seemingly every other weekend in their junior dragsters! Lucas Lindom and his siblings, Owen, Connor and Brooke traveled to Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock in North Carolina! The Balding kiddos got to see inside out 2 at the Antioch Theater. In August of 2021 we shared the news of the passing of one of our long-term Salem family members, Deb Morgan. She was a central person in creating a warm, stable, and caring presence for our staff, students, and families as they came into our School Office for many years. She dedicated her time to many school activities and events such as the PTO, the concession stand, and volunteering for sporting events. This spring, our Salem PTO teamed up with Salem Art teacher Brittany Stalker to create a beautiful Memorial around our concession stand, which was one of Deb's passions here at Salem. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were able to place their handprints in the design, and the PTO will hang a plaque this fall, along with hosting a small dedication ceremony. Her dedication and commitment to our students, staff, and the community will live on here at Salem.❤️

During S.T.E.A.M. Night, these lucky Falcons won an exclusive 'Behind the Scenes' tour of our new construction!🚧 Last Friday, they eagerly explored the fresh spaces, expertly guided by Miron. 👷🏼They were very excited as they discovered each new area and asked great questions!

Medication Pick Up Information🩺💊 As the end of the school year approaches, we would like to take this time to remind you to pick up your child’s medication before the end of the last day of school (by June 7th at 11:30am). Medication must be picked up by an adult from the nurse’s office or main office. A form will need to be signed for prescription medications. It will not be sent home with a student unless physician consent to carry medication has been previously authorized (for epi pens and inhalers only). Any medication not picked up will be discarded. Medications will NOT be stored at school over the summer. As a reminder – medication administration forms must be renewed annually. Thank you for your cooperation. We are so excited that tomorrow is Field Day!! 😎 Please make sure to send an extra set of clothing with your child (for after those FUN water stations😍) along with sunscreen and a hat/sunglasses!🌞 Volunteers, please make sure to arrive 15 minutes early to check in by Door 11, near the Main Office entrance on the AH side of the building. At the registration table, you will be given a Field Day t-shirt and instructions regarding your station. For those who have graciously volunteered for both Session 2 and Session 3 (or all 3 sessions), we will be providing a pizza lunch for you in between sessions in the main office. Session 1 is from 8:35-10:20 for Grades 3-5 Session 2 is from 10:40-12:25 for Grades 6 - 8 Session 3 is from 12:55-2:40 for Grades K - 2 Field day is a day everyone enjoys and loves to watch, but we ask that registered volunteers are the only parents/guardians that attend Field Day.
