Salem School is excited to announce that 4K/5K Enrollment is coming SOON!
Salem offers both a full day and half day 4K program for students 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2024. Students, age 5, on or before September 1, 2024, can enroll for our full-day Kindergarten program. Students currently enrolled in Salem's 4K program for the 2023-2024 school year do not have to enroll for Kindergarten.
Enrollment will begin January 29, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m, Monday through Friday, in the school's office located off of AH. The student's original birth certificate and proof of residency are required in order to enroll. Acceptable forms of proof of residency include a deed, current rental agreement signed by both parties, current tax statement, or a utility bill (gas, electric, water or sewer) within the last 30 days.
Please keep in mind that your choice for full day vs. half day 4K is on a first come, first served basis. Your choice can be made as soon as you fill out the required enrollment forms and show the birth certificate and proof of residency.

Parents and educators understand the importance of parental controls on student devices, but keeping teens safe while using smartphones and tablets can be an enormous challenge. Fortunately, both Apple and Android devices have some great built-in options that can be customized to fit individual needs. These parental control tools can help parents make sure students only see age appropriate content so they can keep students safe in the online world.

Gingerbread House day was a day of sweet creations in Ms. Simmons' Class! 🏠✨

This week 4th grade students participated in Secret Santa, with a twist! Each student picked a name out of a hat and created an acrostic poem with their Secret Santa's name. The students worked hard at finding kind adjectives to describe each other and did a great job keeping it a secret! They shared their poems this week and it was wonderful to see the students spread some kindness throughout the class!

Ms. Zwiefka and her students made coffee filter snowflakes while targeting speech sounds, making requests, following directions, and sequencing! Students enjoyed experimenting with color blending while adding water to their snowflakes. They look forward to cutting their designs and adding their finishing touches once they are finished drying! ❄️

Fourth grade students have been exploring holidays around the world! 🌎 Last week, a student in Mrs. Russell's class brought in his family's dreidel set and they all got to play a game of dreidel!🕎 They are having so much fun exploring global traditions!

The Salem Staff kicked off our last week before winter break with a delicious taco lunch today, sponsored by the Salem School Board! De La Rosa's Taqueria served up tacos, rice, beans and chips with fresh guacamole and all of the fixings for our staff, and our amazing Salem PTO sponsored a fabulous table of sweet treats for dessert! Staff got to enjoy their lunches together and stop by the Selfie Station to take a team picture and a DIY ornament. Thank you to our School Board and the Salem PTO for sponsoring this delicious meal and dessert, it was a fun way to kick off our week!

Mrs. McGrath’s student teacher, Ms. Sturino graduated from UW-Whitewater this past weekend! The class surprised her with a party, sign, and cards on Friday! Ms. Sturino took the sign with her to graduation and had all of the kids sign her graduation sash! They have been so lucky to have Ms. Sturino in their class this semester!
