I'm 22 years old and I've lived in Kenosha, WI my whole life. This December I will be graduating from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, majoring in elementary/middle school education and minoring in adaptive behavior. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and taking walks. One thing I hold close to my heart is my job. I've helped run a school age program at a daycare for 4 years, I've watched a lot of children grow and find who they are. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your team. I'm so excited to get to know the staff, students, and families!"

My name is Cyndy Schneider and I am so excited to be joining the Salem family as one of the 5th Grade teachers! "I might be a familiar face to many students because I spent most of last school year subbing all around the school! I was even lucky enough to teach a super fun Lego class in summer school. I am married, have 2 kiddos & 2 dogs (littermates)! There’s a funny story behind the pups if you ever want to hear about it, just ask! Fun fact about me, I served in the Air National Guard! I was in the Security Forces. When I’m not in school I enjoy bike rides, fishing and hanging out with my family. I love going to hockey games, especially the Milwaukee Admirals. In the winter season you can find me at Wilmot tubing hill & in the summertime, Boundless Adventures! I can’t wait to start the new school year and I’m looking forward to seeing all my students and meeting their families!"

My name is Wylie Jackson and I will be joining Salem as the School Psychologist covering Early Childhood through 3rd Grade! I grew up in Kenosha County and am excited to be back and join the Salem Community! I attended UW La Crosse and completed my Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Communication Studies, and then continued on to receive my Master of Science in School Psychology. When I’m not working, I really enjoy exploring Wisconsin by snowmobile in the winter and on the water in summer. I’m also very involved with the Kenosha County Fair! I am so excited to support students' academic, social, and emotional wellbeing while fostering strong connections among students and staff in my new role!"

My name is Nancy Reese-Brown and I am beyond excited to join the Salem family as a fifth grade teacher. My husband and I live in Lake Geneva and are fairly new to the community. I will be starting my 33rd year of teaching and I still LOVE every minute in the classroom! Outside of school, I enjoy an active lifestyle of golfing, taking long walks, and playing pickleball with my friends. I absolutely love all things water and sunshine, and you could find me by the lake throughout most of the summer. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of our families and being a part of the community and meeting all of you. It will be a great year!"

Salem School has grown brick by brick over the years, and provided a home for many fond memories for our student and staff alumni. As our current construction and renovation continues on our building, we are excited to recognize and celebrate the history of Salem School by hosting a brick giveaway on Monday, August 21st from 10:00am - 3:00pm. This giveaway is a chance to own a piece of Salem School history, and will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. Please enter the parking lot on the Hwy 83 side of the building and pull up to Door 2, just past the District Office. Please share and spread the word! This giveaway is open to any community member, alumni, current student, and any supporter of Salem School.

Falcon Families - Mark your calendars, it's Community Picnic time!! On August 31st, please join us in the North Gym/Bus Parking Lot for our Community Picnic at Salem School! Grades 1 - 8 Open House is that evening from 5:00 to 6:30pm, and our picnic will run from 5:00pm - 7:00pm with a celebration of food, family, and fun! Enjoy music, photos with our Falcon, and community activities. We will also have food trucks available to purchase from if you choose to! We can't wait to see you all there!

⭐Get to Know Our PTO!⭐ "Hi! I'm your PTO secretary, Missy Heilgeist. I have a child starting 5th grade and another starting 2nd this year. This will be my 3rd year on the board. I started attending PTO meetings when my oldest was in 1st grade. I was looking for a way to be involved with our local community and my kids' school. I love that my kids get to enjoy fun school events, like I did when I attended Salem. When not working or helping with PTO, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and getting laughs in with family and friends.
